イーモバイルで常時接続
オフィスの電話と光が開通するのが金曜日。それまで自宅で仕事するのはちょっと厳しいなぁということで、いずれ必要になるであろう、イーモバイルを契約しました。これが考えていたよりも、かなりいい感じです。
私が初めてブロードバンドを実感したのはOCNエコノミーという、月4万弱くらいの、いわゆる廉価版の専用線。それは128kで当時もっともリーズナブルな常時接続でありました。
それからだいぶ後になって、契約した初めてのADSL、東京めたりっく通信。
今回契約したイーモバイルは、その当時のADSLを遥かに凌駕するスピードが出ております（比較が古すぎるんだけれども）。
オフィスの光が開通するまでのデスクトップPCでも使いたいし、これから買う最近のモバイルPCに、PCカードスロットなどあるかわからないし。ということで、USB接続型の端末を購入しました。昨日、今日とオフィスのデスクトップマシンでガリガリ使用しておりますが、特に何の支障もない速度で通信しています。かなり大きなファイルサイズのソフトを落としたりしていますが、一服する間もなく完了します。もちろん、光そのものよりは遅いのですが、ちょっと前のADSLよりは実測として速いです。
この速度がモバイルとして利用できるわけですから、こりゃかなり有用かと。月額費用も安いですし、おすすめです。
話かわって、先ほどまで飲んでいたお店で、札幌に本拠地を置く某球団のぐりんさん（？）とまいけるさん（？）が隣で飲んでおり、テキーラを一杯ごちそうになりました。正直、私は堀内監督以前の巨人選手以外、あまりプロ野球の選手を知らないのでありますが、会うとちょっと応援したくなりますね。
お昼には、マイオフィス完成後、初のお客様がいらっしゃいました。まだポットもコーヒーメーカーもないオフィス。茶くらい出せるようにせんと。
