絶対おかしい
「胃カメラ」 前々から思っていた、そして今回、その検査を受け、改めて思う。そんなの絶対おかしいと。
少なくとも100年後の人類は、歴史上の未発達の医療行為で、それは拷問に等しかったと、「胃カメラ」を理解するんじゃないだろうか。古代の霊術師が、麻酔無しで手だけで手術する行為とそう変わらないイメージで。懲役刑に服するものは、毎週1回胃カメラ検査を義務付ければ、犯罪はなくなると思う。いじめを撲滅するには、いじめた生徒に胃カメラを。
ということで、本日胃カメラの日でございました。あの悶絶の模様を文章で伝えることは、私には不可能。いくつかの記憶にある場面だけ、記録として。
医師が管を挿入開始してその直後に、私は連続嘔吐反応状態、目からは涙が噴出す。喉は完全にロック状態。入った管を思いっきり締め付ける。医者やら看護婦やら5名くらいいたと思うが、私の反応を見て、焦る感じで、各々私に言葉をかける。
「ごっくんして！」「ここの乗り切れば大丈夫！」「力入り過ぎ！力抜かないとダメ！」
そんなこと言われてもだな！ごっくんなんてできるか！「胡桃」じゃないんだから、ごっくんなんて言うな！すでにこっちは仮死状態、力抜くも、入れるも、そういう次元じゃねーっつーのーー。
というのが私の心境。喉ロックで管を締め付ける状態がしばらく続き、死ぬ時はいくらなんても、これよりは楽なんじゃないだろうかと思う。
なんかの加減で、喉のロックが緩み、管が下りてゆく。たぶん、死ぬ一歩手前で、筋肉が弛緩するのに近い状態だったんじゃないだろうか。ただその間も身体は勝手に何度も嘔吐反応。
「ゲップ我慢して！」「ほら、もう胃まで降りていったよ！」「十二指腸にいったよ！」
ゲップ我慢するとかしないとか、そういうレベルじゃないんだって！胃に行こうが腸に行こうがそんなこと知ったこっちゃねーー！ほんとに死んじゃうぞー！
そうこうするうちに、ナースが私の目の前に小さいモニターをセットする。そこには私の内部を映す映像が…。
「これ見てたら少し落ち着くから！」とナース。
なわけねーーー！もう私はずっと白目を剥いて、涙を流し続けていたと思う。あまりの私の胃カメラ不得手ぶりに、スタッフが引き気味なのは感じていた。
結局のところ、胃にも十二指腸にもこれといって大きな問題はなかった。少し部分的に荒れているところはあったものの、特に問題にはならず概ね良好だった。
そしてその一方で、私の強烈な喉ロックにより、喉を負傷した感がある。口をあけて鏡を見ると、喉右側に異常な腫れというか盛り上がりがあり、けっこう痛む。さらに舌が水平でなく、右側がだいぶ高くなっている。検査結果なんかよりも、胃カメラで受けた精神的・肉体的ダメージの方がかなり心配だ。
エコーの検査で、ポリープが見つかったり、石が発見されたりっていうのは、またいずれかの記事で…。とにかくもう一生胃カメラはごめんだ。絶対におかしい。
